Do you support guns in schools grounds?
It has been one week since the incomprehensible tragedy at the elementary school in Newtown, Conn. Since this horrific event, one of the main topics has been guns. Many are outraged and politicians have now threatened to take swift action. But will these completely absurd solutions really help in any way? The honest answer is NO.
After a week in hiding, the NRA finally came out to the spotlight and the director really couldn’t have said it any better…
“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”
He really couldn’t have said it any better and I simply cannot understand how most anti-gun extremists don’t see this is truly a solution for such events. Having either a trained school staff member with a concealed weapon or a full-time law enforcement officer on any campus and/or school just makes sense. I can’t understand why most do not comprehend this. It puzzles my mind. How is this bad? How can you think this is the wrong approach?
We cannot offer any sort of guarantee that such a massacre will not occur again. However, taking such an approach may very well prevent one in the future or at least minimize the amount of innocent lives lost in such tragedies.
With that said, what is your opinion on this sensitive topic?
