Customer Shoots, Kills Burger King Robber
Not sure how others feel, but in this bad economy, it seems crime has gotten progressively worse. I tend to carry more than ever now. However, if you are carrying and witness a robbery, would you take action? That’s exactly what a concealed weapons owner in Miami, FL did in a Burger King on a busy afternoon. Unfortunately, while the robber was killed, he suffered multiple bullet wounds as well but is in stable condition.

What would you do in a similar situation where your own personal life my not be endangered. Would you take that risk (on multiple levels) and be that potentially “Good Samaritan”?
As most gun and shooting enthusiasts have noticed the past couple of months, finding ammo these days is much more difficult, frustrating and even expensive. Go to your favorite online sites and try to order your favorite ammo in bulk at that low price you are used to. You’ll only find that they have absolutely no availability and most popular online sources have been out of stock for many weeks. Heck, even some respected ammo manufacturer’s have halted production and/or shipping. I even went to my local shooting range and they were completely out of 9mm, .380 and 7.62 ammunition. The range was pretty empty and that expensive ammo on those spacious shelves was just not there. Things are this bad folks.
There are tons of options out there when it comes to defensive carry ammo. Some are good, some are great and others are just a gimmick and should be avoided. Ammo Cans…there’s just something about a chuck of metal that has been commonly used by the military that makes the average consumer interested in owning one of their own. Ammunition boxes are easy to acquire and very inexpensive. You can usually find them at military surplus stores and if you are a smart shopper, can find these handy storage containers for less than $5 on Ebay or other online shops. Heck, even those that buy ammo in bulk usually get one thrown in for free. However, not all are in what I would really consider “good condition” and not all are lockable or completely tamper-proof.
