Children Endangered By Lack of Guns In Parks

I have to ask, have those in the county government lost their minds? Is passing laws to prevent the carrying guns around small children at play really necessary? People are afraid to bring their 4-year-olds to parks because they will have no way to defend their children or their families if they were to come face to face with someone who means them harm. Or is it the rampant and overwhelming crime in our parks that have people scared?

Because I seriously want to know what benefit there is in people NOT carrying a gun in a public park. Self-defense is the only reason I’ve heard.

How NOT to shoot a shotgun

This video was sent to me today and I honestly couldn’t help laughing.

A pistol grip shotgun should never be shot this way in my opinion.  These are excellent home defense shotguns that really don’t require much aim to hit someone at close range.  In fact, that’s really what they are designed for in the first place.

What’s really ironic though is all the gear this guy has on.  It sure appears that he knows what he is doing.

So, consider this a lesson…

Gun sales defy odds in recession

OLYMPIA – The Big Recession doesn’t exist at Cascade Arms Co.

Each day, a steady stream of customers strolls into the small shop on Martin Way to buy rifles, shotguns, handguns and ammunition.

“Since November, it’s been crazy,” said Jeff Hursh of Cascade Arms. “Sales are as high as 40 percent over normal for gun purchases.”

The firearms business – manufacturing and selling – has boomed since November nationwide. Gun stores can’t keep popular models in stock, and ammunition is selling as fast as it arrives.

Why is this happening in an economy that is shedding jobs at the fastest rate in decades?

The answer, many say, is politics and fear.
