Ohio Set to Allow Concealed Guns in Bars, Restaurants

Ohio is on the verge of allowing people with concealed-carry permits to take their firearms into many facilities that serve alcohol, including bars, restaurants, and sports stadiums.

The Republican-controlled legislature passed the legislation this week and sent it to Gov. John Kasich’s desk. A spokesman for Kasich, a first-term Republican, has said he would sign it.

Opponents say it will lead to a dangerous mix of booze and firearms.

SIG SAUER Offers P250 Subcompact with Accessory Rail

More Sig news.  This time, Sig Sauer releases the P250 Subcompact with a small M1913 accessory rail.  Perhaps they are trying to compete with the excellent Beretta PX4 Storm SC.  The P250 is a modular pistol that is also found in their 2Sum Package.

SIG Adds Rainbow Titanium Finish to the P239 Pistol

Personally, I don’t know why anyone looking to seriously conceal a pistol would even consider such a finish.  It not only looks horrible, but is just not a wise choice for deep concealment.  Apparently, this unique, highly reflective finish found in their smaller P238 is popular enough for them to expand it to their other handguns.  While still not officially up on their website, their P239 will now be offered with a rainbow finish.  To each his own I guess.

American Classic 1911 models

When it comes to 1911′s, I typically like to stick to well-known, respected manufacturers.  While I have never heard of American Classic, according to OneInchGroup, they are a company that manufactures budget 1911 pistols.  After a quick look at their models, they sure are full-featured and do look sweet.  Quality remains questionable though.  Personally, I like the compact “Amigo” pictured above.  Love the highly unique lightweight hammer on this pistol.  Perhaps they are trying to compete with Taurus, which does have some quality, full-featured 1911 pistols that are quite impressive and modestly priced.

You can view pics of all models at the American Classic Website.

ConcealThis Poll: Do You Own Conceal/Tactical Apparel?

It’s time for another interesting ConcealThis Poll.  There are tons of options out there for those looking for tactical apparel to help conceal their weapon as comfortably as possible while allowing quick access to it when needed.  However, most out there are quite cumbersome, ugly and simply may not fit your style.  In addition, mostly all tactical clothing out there that target those that carry concealed weapons are honestly overpriced. With that said, do you personally own any tactical clothing and does it aid in providing both comfort and peace of mind?

If so, please feel free to comment below on your favorite gear after voting.

Woolrich Elite Series Tactical Discreet Carry Jacket

Most apparel designed and targeted at those who carry concealed weapons are far from appealing.  This jacket, on the other hand, looks great and can impressively support a full-sized pistol with up to a 6″ barrel.  Even had room for accessories as well.  However, as with most tactical clothing, expect to pay a premium for it.

Woolrich Elite Series Tactical has a new tactically fashionable twill jacket coming out soon.  The fastest growing demographic for gun owners is the ever expanding concealed carry movement and Woolrich Elite Series Tactical is catering directly to them.  Their new twill jacket can accommodate a pistol with up to a 6″ barrel, making it a little easier for those who like to carry a full sized 1911, but usually don’t considering its bulk.

The Discreet Carry Twill Jacket not only provides room for a pistol, but accessories as well.  The inside of the pockets are lined with 45 degree angled accessory loops that are perfect for carrying extra magazines, flight lights, or a baton.  There are also an accessory tunnel which runs through it that can provide more room for concealing other items, such a communication wires for plain clothes police officers or security.

The waistband and cuffs are adjustable, and the jacket is lined with polyester and Sherpa liner.  The Woolirch Elite Series Tactical Discreet Carry Twill Jacket costs $130 for the S-XXL sizes and $150 for XXXL.
