Why the United States Should Nationalize Concealed Carry Laws
Nationalization of concealed carry laws would make things in this country simpler and much safer.
Currently, under federal legal precedent it is legal for states to allow concealed carry with a permit, or even with no permit at all, says Laurie Ekstrand, established author. By nationalizing concealed carry laws, all states would have to have the same regulations governing concealed carry, making things much simpler than in the status quo.

I hope there is a uniform single conceal carry national law and I would think that law enforcement might endorse that as well. I live in a border town, border meaning I am a few miles or less from neighboring states. I have two state concealement licenses but even at that I have to knwo all the nuances of each state’s conceal laws just like I do their traffic laws. In my state I only have to stop for pedestrians in marked crosswalks, in a neighboring state I have to stop for pedestrians simply if they look like they might want to cross and stop for all jaywalkers and peds who decide to cross when the lights flash “DO NOT CROSS”. Anyway, I am all for uniform laws even conceal-carry laws. In my state I can carry my weapons in condition one, in a neighboring state I can carry the gun but the magazine or ammo has to be in the trunk or glove box….I do not want to have to be a lawyer to be able to know when, where and how I can “carry”. If we had one all encompassing law for all states it would be so much easier. And I am sure it would be a lot easier for law enforcement.
